Elegance, Style... and just a few kinks away from being perfect!

This is possibly the most well designed hotel on Diani Beach. The entrance alone inspires a calm serenity that one can only hope attain during their visit to the Mombasa Coast.

Having seen the hotel being built over the years, we obviously wanted to check it out, especially after all the hype. We were not disappointed; from the cascading waterfall-pool that starts at the top of the hotel and finishes at the tip of the beach, to the authentic Swahili-styled furniture, rustic yet sturdy and comfortable. Swahili Beach Hotel is the epitome of where one wishes to stay at the Mombasa South Coast.

Since we were just visiting, we decided to grab a lazy afternoon lunch. The menu was incredible, perhaps the best Sailfish in the country, and very well priced.

The only complaint, or shall I call it advice advice... some of the service still needs work, especially for an establishment of this caliber, beers were lukewarm and our waiter made repeated mistakes on our order so we all got our food at different times.

However, I personally would chalk this up to tweaks and kinks that the management will definitely iron out over the course of the upcoming year.

On the whole, the Swahili Beach Hotel is breathtaking.
