    Ambiance redefined!!!!

    It's a long drive out to Karen to reach the Talisman but clearly it is worth the trip. Great menu, excellent service and food reasonably priced. A lovely venue with an outdoor setting. The indoors area was tastefully decorated with artists exhibitions which change fortnightly.Nice place to relax away from the hussle and bussle. The comments range from positive to widely negative, but then again we cant all be carnivores.. there are vegans too.. obviously people tastes and preferences differ... I am a Kenyan who has been to enough restaurants and what I can say is and I haven't seen anywhere as lovely and homely as Talisman. I can recommend few restaurants and lounges and Talisman is one of them. It is a small homely place where anyone feels at home the moment you get into the door. They have wonderful steak, the food and drink presentation is executed well, the cappuccino is really nice, they have very kind staff, the owners check up to see what you need and if you are okay. The decor is breathtaking..... Simple and rustic. Oh, and I love the cloak rooms....so homely. I remember a while ago, my friend’s boyfriend had a birthday and I suggested Talisman for a surprise dinner with friends. It was wonderful. We took the cake early in the day as we did the booking. They set for us a table by the fireplace and they took care of our surprise really well. I advice that you book early in advance to avoid any inconveniences. Go there with an open mind and empty stomach…. Experience the rare gift of great food they have to offer.

    the striking ambiance of the hotel grasps you the moment you drive in, from the security, to they friendly host, to the staff and the 7 storeys up ride to the ROOFTOP!!!! The Sankara mixes Asian design influences with local African elements and creates a unique hotel experience - something which is often missing in a world of bland and functional utilitarianism. Its divine! some of they most amazing parties have been held here ranging from trance, house, techno, dance with renowned international- local based DJs Jean Marie and Cortega.. JUST DANCE BABY!!! (thank goodness there haven't been instances where people jump into the pool in a drunken stupor! If you are visiting Nairobi, this is a MUST-SE, have dinner, sun-downers, even staying there for a short stay ( aint the cheapest hotel in town) BUT DE-FO worth checking out!!!!
